Tamara L. Prairie has been employed as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant at CRC Services, LLC since 2015. In addition to being a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor, Ms. Prairie is a member of Chi Sigma Iota –Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International, IARP – International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and American Board of Vocational Experts – Associate Member.
Ms. Prairie provides vocational guidance and counseling services to injured workers in Massachusetts and Connecticut as well as disabled veterans to facilitate return to suitable employment. This consists of conducting vocational assessment interviews, vocational testing, transferable skills analyses, labor market surveys, job seeking skills training, job development, retraining development and coordination, job placement services. Ms. Prairie also performs independent living assessments for disabled veterans.
Ms. Prairie also serves as an impartial vocational expert witness in Social Security Disability hearings before Administrative Law Judges and responds to hypothetical questions relative to job classifications, skill level, transferability, and work force numbers.
Prior to Ms. Prairie joining CRC Services LLC, she worked serving both adults and adolescents with psychiatric and substance abuse disabilities through development of daily activities, advocacy for services, housing, employment, as well as vocational exploration, job readiness skills, and securing suitable employment.
Ms. Prairie graduated from Allegheny College with a B.A. in Political Science and Springfield College with a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling with a concentration in psychiatric and substance abuse.
