Michael C. Dorval has been employed as a vocational rehabilitation consultant/vocational expert with CRC Services, LLC since 2001. Mr. Dorval evaluates the vocational potential and employability of able bodied and impaired individuals through records review, interview, vocational testing, and labor market survey. His vocational analysis includes assessments of labor market access, individual work capacity, and future lost wages in tort actions and civil proceedings.
Mr. Dorval is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor, nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Diplomat of the American Board of Vocational Experts, a Qualified Vocational Expert to the Federal Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, and a Certified and Approved Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to the U.S. Department of Labor and Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Dorval has been qualified as a vocational expert in Massachusetts and Connecticut regarding his professional opinions on vocational matters of employability, wage loss, vocational damages, and vocational rehabilitation potential of individuals. He has also testified in both plaintiff and defense matters and recognized as a vocational expert in courts of workers compensation, personal injury, employment and matrimonial law.
Previously, Mr. Dorval was employed as Disability Appeals Supervisor for the United Healthcare Corporation and disability case manager for the Phoenix Home Life and Crawford Risk Management Services.
Mr. Dorval obtained his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (1974), earned his Certificate of Advanced Study in Vocational Evaluation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (1979) and holds a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College (1990).
